Liberal Democrats maintain control of Oadby and Wigston

The new balance of the council is:
Liberal Democrat 19
Conservative 6
Labour 1
This is the first time Labour has been represented on the council for three decades.
Oadby and Wigston has been run by the Lib Dems since 1991, but then this is an area with a strong Liberal tradition.
The old Wigston UDC was run by the Liberal Party in Jo Grimond's day.
