Michelle Thomson was due to play a “starring role” alongside Nicola Sturgeon and John Swinney winning over the business community at next week’s SNP conference, Labour has said.
The Edinburgh West MP, whose property dealings are the subject of a police investigation over potential mortgage fraud, was due to speak at a fringe event addressing the question: “What is stopping UK businesses from exploring new markets?”
Labour also published a corporate agenda for the Aberdeen conference showing Mrs Thomson was due to appear at a business breakfast meeting next Friday with Ms Sturgeon followed by a lunch with Mr Swinney, the Deputy First Minister.
