The Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) will be organising a sales and promotion oriented auto exhibition called "My Auto Fest" at the Mines International Exhibition and Convention Centre (MIECC) from 20 - 22 May. The purpose of the event was that many of MAA's car company members felt that they should organise sales-oriented and promotion event to encourage better auto sales leading up to the Hari Raya festive season.
The organisers target to have 20 car brands with over 100 car models to be made available for viewing, test drives and sales during the 3-day My Auto Fest. We have not been briefed on which of the car companies that will be participating but expect many of the more popular brands.
Aside from the car companies, several activities are being drawn up for show patrons and their families. These include test drives, lucky draws, lifestyle booths, food trucks and F&B kiosks, and children’s games and activities. Entrance to the Auto Fest is free of charge.
I suppose this is all good news to those who just want to view lots of cars in one place. I may head over there myself if time permits.

There are more. Do head over to the May 2016 blog article list.

My Auto Fest promises the best car deals for the coming festive season
Car buyers on the look out for great discounts and attractive offers on
the latest models will be in for a treat when the inaugural My Auto Fest
2016 makes its debut on the third weekend of May.
To be held at the Mines International Exhibition and Convention Centre
(MIECC) on May 20-22, the event is organised by the Malaysian
Automotive Association (MAA).
“Many car companies recently announced car price increases due to
the depreciation of the Malaysian ringgit.
“The MAA Council, with the support of leading car manufacturers,
distributors and dealers in the country, felt that we should organize a
sales-oriented and promotion event to encourage better auto sales
leading up to the Hari Raya festive season,” said MAA president Datuk
Aishah Ahmad.
“If you're going to buy a car anyway, then book your car at the show for
the best deal in town and get your car in time for the five-day Hari Raya
public holiday season starting on Wednesday July 6.
“We are expecting participating car companies to provide generous
offers and substantial discounts to benefit car buyers in all segments at
this inaugural Auto Fest and to boost consumers’ sentiment.
“These offers can be in the form of direct discounts, a subsidy for
interest on car loans or even waivers for downpayment. These deals will
be exclusively available only at My Auto Fest. You won't get them
outside the show,” said Datuk Aishah.
The organisers target to have 20 car brands with over 100 car models to
be made available for viewing, test drives and sales during the 3-day My
Auto Fest.
Several activities are being drawn up for show patrons and their families.
These include test drives, lucky draws, lifestyle booths, food trucks and
F&B kiosks, and children’s games and activities.
Entrance to the Auto Fest is free of charge.
