News: Renault Captur now priced lower - from RM117,200!

The Renault Captur is now available from RM117,200 on the road inclusive of GST but without insurance (Peninsular Malaysia price/Private registration).  Renault franchise holder and distributor TC Euro Cars are making this good looking compact crossover more competitive in terms of pricing in the very tight mini SUV cum CrossOver cum premium junior hatchback cum small sedan sector.

The Captur was first unveiled in Europe in 2013 and since then it has sold over 500,000 units. It is also the best selling compact SUV over in Europe. I think this is because of its good looks. It looks chic from every angle. You wife, girlfriend, daughter or mistress would love one. Hmm, wife and mistress in the same sentence. Anywayyyyy......

This compact crossover is powered by a torquey yet frugal 1.2liter turbocharged petrol engine which sends its power to the front wheels via a 6 speed dual clutch transmission. It may be tiny but as I have driven one I can tell you folks that it is more than adequate for most situations that you will encounter on a daily basis. No, you are not going to buy a Captur for attacking the Sepang Circuit or to see who's the fastest going up and down Genting Highlands. If you intend to carry four up to Genting, it would easily be able to do so but not as fast or as grippy as a Clio RS (which actually shares the same platform). Petrol consumption is also good even though I wasn't gentle at all with the happy pedal. By the way folks, keep an eye out on this website if you are interested in the Renault Captur. I have tested one and a review on it should be up shortly (within a week or two).

Now there is a roadshow coming up from 9 March through 13 March 2016 over at 1 Utama Shopping Centre in Petaling Jaya. TC Euro Cars will be holding a roadshow at Lower Ground, Oval, 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Bandar Utama, Selangor to showcase the complete line-up of Renault Captur vehicles as well as other Renault models including the sporty and trendy Clio GT Line hot hatch and an EV section showcasing the Renault Twizy and Zoe electric cars.

Visitors to the roadshow will also get the chance to test drive the Captur and receive exclusive merchandise.
