two 3-1/2" x 4-1/2" red rectangles
one 2" square blue print
one 4-1/2" x 5-1/2" rectangle flannel or batting
11 small white buttons
hand quilting thread - I like YLI
#12 pearl cotton - I used Valdani P4
Filling - I used crushed walnut shells
1 | Draw a line 1-1/2" from bottom of rectangle
2 | Layer flannel or batting and hand stitch on line using YLI
3 | Iron under all 4 edges on blue print square.
4 | Place square in upper left hand corner.
5 | Stitch in place using pearl cotton and add a little star in center.
6 | With right sides together stitch around rectangle with 1/4" seam
and leave a large opening on bottom.
7 | Clip corners and turn right side out.
8 | In half inch increments mark lines for stitching and button placement
9 | Stitch lines and add buttons as you go using pearl cotton.
