Almonte can boost having a downtown core reminiscent of days gone by with it's many historic buildings and facades still maintaining its original charm.
You can also take the River Walk which starts on main street and with a view of the water tumbling over falls. There are many boutique shops, restaurants, galleries, 2 quilt stores and antique shops to peruse along the main street and if you still have left over energy to shop, the Handmade Harvest Craft Show at the Old Town Hall at 14 Bridge Street has over 50 vendors.
